Do you often question yourself when people tell you your services are too expensive?
I know I did when I first started my lash business.
You start thinking that maybe you ARE too expensive, maybe you SHOULD drop your prices, you wouldn’t want to LOSE them as a client…
STOP RIGHT THERE!!
Firstly, you should never let anyone determine your worth. YOU paid money to learn how to be a lash technician, you did the HOURS of practice and training to perfect your skill and YOU are the one DOING the work - YOU NEED TO CHARGE FOR YOUR TIME, and your time is valuable.
Secondly, it’s so important to know and understand that everyone is NOT your ideal client.
We don’t get into business to help EVERYONE, we get into business to share our passion and skills with those who will appreciate what we do and value our time.
That means, if I want to charge $300 for a new set of volume lashes, then I can! I just need to make sure I establish myself as a high end, highly sort after lash technician.
If a potential client doesn’t want to pay the $300, it’s OK, they can find someone who is happy to charge them what they want.
I know this to be truth and I want you to know this too: There are plenty of clients willing to pay ME (and you) what we’re worth.
NEVER discount your prices just because someone tells you you’re too expensive. As long as you make sure your quality of work and customer experience matches the prices you charge, then just keep doing you boo.
I learnt this the hard way and if I can help you overcome the ‘you’re too expensive’ hurdle quickly and painlessly, then I know that I have done my good deed for the day.
Always stick by your prices! Never be afraid to turn a client away who isn’t willing to appreciate your time and skill. Just like there are plenty of fish in the sea, there are more than enough clients for everyone.
